She may be the first female architect to receive so many prestigious awards, but Hadid certainly is not the only genius in architecture. Michael Graves, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Eero Saarinen, Walter Gropius, Caser Pelli, Rem Koolhas, Renzo Piano and Sir Norman Foster are all well-known by students of architecture.
There are thousands of architects around the world, but only these lucky few are named as top architects of the world. So what makes them so special? Sure, their design is flawless, but is that enough? There are so many famous architects with flawless design, but their names are unseen here and that has a reason.
